2011年11月10日、金融庁は企業会計審議会総会・企画調整部会合同会議を開催し、IFRS適用に関する議論を行いました。
同審議会の事務局が提示した「国際会計基準（IFRS）に係る討議資料」の中には、「Ⅰ．我が国産業・雇用構造、我が国企業の海外進出、資金調達の状況」「Ⅱ．企業経営と会計基準の関係」などがあり、これらを踏まえた議論が行われました。
また、参考資料には、日本と欧州との市場構造の比較なども記載されています。
