2012年11月1日付けで、IFRS財団は、会計基準策定に関する諮問機関として「会計基準諮問フォーラム」（Accounting Standards Advisory Forum：ASAF）を新たに立ち上げることを提案しています。
この諮問グループの主な目的は、IFRSに対する国際的な幅広い支持に応えるため、IASBに対して技術的な助言と フィードバックを提供することです。また、各国会計基準設定主体と財務報告に 関心を有する地域団体で構成されます。
今やG20メンバーの3分の2を含む100か国以上の企業は、IFRSの使用を要求又は許容されています。フォーチュン・グローバル500の約半数の企業が今IFRSを使用して報告しています。
ASFメンバーは１２人のメンバーから成り、ＩＡＳＢのフーガーホースト議長によると、「欧州枠、米国枠、アジア・オセアニア枠としてそれぞれ３人のメンバーを選出することが想定」されています。ＩＡＳＢが座長役を務めて、年４回、１日半の会合を開きます。コメント期限は、2012年12月17日です。
