2012年10月31日から11月2日に、ジュネーブで開催された第29回会計と報告の国際基準に関する政府間専門部会（ISAR/International Standards of Accounting and Reporting ）にて、IFRS財団評議員会議長のPrada氏が講演しました。

講演では、11月1日付けで設立が提案されたアドバイザリーフォーラム・会計基準諮問グループ（ASAF）、IFRSの十分かつ適切な適用の必要性、IOSCOの役割、EEG、IFRS for SMEsなどについて述べました。
米国との関係では、7月に公表されたSECスタッフ報告と、10月に公表された財団のSECスタッフ報告分析についても述べました。分析によれば、米国がIFRSへ移行するのに克服できない障害はなく、SECが近い将来、グローバルな会計基準への移行を積極的に考えることを強く期待するとしております。
