FASB releases educational paper on the intersection of ESG and GAAP

On March 19, the FASB published a Staff Education Paper that provides an overview of the intersection of ESG matters with financial accounting standards. The paper also includes examples of how companies may apply existing GAAP when considering the direct or indirect effect ESG matters may have on the financial statements.
