IRCC members announced

In a step towards improving connectivity between financial and sustainability reporting, the IFRS Foundation announced the objectives and membership of the new Integrated Reporting and Connectivity Council (IRCC) this week. The IRCC is an advisory body to the IFRS Foundation Trustees, the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), and the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) and aims to provide guidance on how to integrate the requirements of financial reporting from the IASB and sustainability reporting from the ISSB. Further objectives include advising the IASB and ISSB on how concepts from the Integrated Reporting Framework could be applied to their various projects.

The membership of the IRCC comprises standard-setters, regulators, accounting professionals, investors, academics, and representatives from companies and non-governmental organizations. The first meeting is scheduled for November 10.
