As many units as required to satisfy its actual needs (that is, to be used or consumed) for the commodity during the period of the contract (a requirements contract). The party is not permitted to buy more than its actual needs (for example, the party cannot buy excess units for resale).
This appendix summarizes considerations that were deemed significant by Board members in reaching the conclusions in this Statement. It discusses the reasons for accepting certain views and rejecting others. Individual Board members gave greater weight to some factors than to others.
