Overview: An update on the new format for Closing the GAAP publications effective December 31, 2023.
Consistent with the formatting update for IFRS Closing the GAAP outlined in Newsletter 2023-067, effective December 31, 2023, the issuance of the Closing the GAAP US GAAP and Public Sector Accounting Standards (“PSAS”) newsletters is replaced by the guidance found on their respective pages US GAAP and PSAS. The linked pages will be maintained and updated on a periodic basis as new pronouncements are issued. The new pages supersede the previously issued Newsletters 2023-066 and 2023-059.
The final Closing the GAAP for Canadian Standards has been issued as Newsletter 2024-001 and will be reformatted consistent with the pages above in Q1 2024.
