PwC's Manual of accounting - IFRS is a thorough guide to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) issued by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB). Our guidance, like the IFRS standards themselves, continues to evolve and change. Each chapter opens with an explanation of the requirements of the standards in clear language.
Key updates to the requirements of the standards in this edition include guidance on:
- Narrow scope amendments to IAS 1, IAS 8 and IFRS Practice statement 2 (effective 1 January 2023).
- Amendments to IAS 12, deferred tax related to assets and liabilities arising from a single transaction (effective 1 January 2023).
- Amendments to IFRS 17 Insurance contracts: Initial Application of IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 – Comparative information (effective 1 January 2023).
This Manual contains guidance based on the experience of the PwC network of IFRS specialists, Global Accounting Consulting Services. The Manual is a guide to applying IFRS that translates often complex standards into practical guidance.
