2013年4月18～19日にワシントンで開催されたG20財務大臣・中央銀行総裁会議の会議声明で、G20フレームワークや金融規制など全体で16項ある声明の内、第12項において以下がありました。

12. ・・・我々は、国際会計基準審議会（IASB）及び米国財務会計基準審議会（FASB）に対し、質の高い単一の基準を達成するための主要な未決着のプロジェクトに関する作業を2013年末までに最終化することの要請を再確認する。
12. ・・・We reiterate our call on the IASB and FASB to finalize by the end of 2013 their work on key outstanding projects for achieving a single set of high-quality standards.
