2015年12月10日、AICPA年次会議がワシントンで開催され、IASB議長Hans Hoogervorst氏が、IFRS改善への進捗や近い将来の更なる変化について概要をスピーチしました。また、IASBが2016年1月の第2週にリース基準を公表する旨についても触れられています。
Hans Hoogervorst氏は、世界各国でのIFRSの継続的な拡大について述べ、アジアの主要な3経済圏（中国・インド・日本）における増加傾向を指摘しました。日本に関しては、IFRSを任意適用している企業数が過去2年で3倍以上になったと述べました。
