CSRD spotlight: Updates and essentials for preparers
To launch our newest podcast miniseries, host Heather Horn is joined by Emily Kirsch, director in PwC’s sustainability practice, and Soné Beyers, director in PwC’s National Office, to discuss the basic requirements and applicability of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, or CSRD, the EU’s sweeping sustainability reporting directive that will directly impact US and other non-EU headquartered companies.

On October 20, the Brazilian Ministry of Finance and the Comissão de Valores Mobiliários (CVM) announced that the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards will be adopted and incorporated into the Brazilian regulatory framework, beginning with voluntary application in 2024 and shifting to mandatory application on January 1, 2026.
