SEC proposed rule for broker-dealers and investment advisers related to their use of predictive data analytics

This week the SEC proposed rules prohibiting conflicts associated with investor interactions involving certain technologies. The proposed rules focus on firm interactions with investors through the use of technologies that optimize for, predict, guide, forecast, or direct investment-related behaviors or outcomes.

Comments are due 60 days following publication in the Federal Register.
